Drill Steel & Bits Calculations

The calculations below are nominal and could vary depending on the hardness of the concrete,
aggregates used and the possibility of bits hitting steel reinforcement.

Whirly Bit, Taper Bit and "H" Thread Bit
(B)Bit = 180 holes x 9"
B = 1620"
Number of bits needed =
(number of holes x hole depth)/1620"

Taper Steel and "H" Thread Steel
(S)Steel = 600 holes x 9"
S = 5400"
Number of steels needed =
(number of holes x hole depth)/5400"

Example
Need 50,000 Holes at 12" deep for the job
(50,000 x 12)/1620 = 371 Bits
(50,000 x 12)/5400 = 112 Steels

How many bits and drill steels will it take to do this job?
